Welcome to the website of Team 3161, Tronic Titans. We are a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team from Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Team 3161 competes in
FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition), an annual competition which challenges teams of students from around the world to design, build, and program a 54kg (120lb) robot in 6 weeks. The robot must perform specialized tasks, each year involving a new game and robot, while competing against other teams in 3 versus 3 matches in tournament style regional events.
FIRST competitions are based on the mentality of “Gracious Professionalism”, the premise that fierce competition and mutual gain can coexist, and “Coopertition”, the philosophy that teams can and should help and cooperate with each other even as they compete.

These competitions are not just about the robot, though. Awards are presented to select teams at competitions for exemplary
community involvement, professional media pieces and their efforts at spreading the message and values of FIRST. Our team has won several over our last three seasons for our extraordinary efforts.

Team 3161 is also involved in
FLL (FIRST Lego League), a program which encourages children ages 9 through 14 to become interested in the fields of science and technology. Our team members mentor numerous JrFLL, FLL and FRC teams, and run an annual regional tournament for FLL teams in the Halton region.

Just as we mentor FLL teams, Team 3161 relies on our
mentors, who share their knowledge and teach us new skills. The success of our team also depends on the help of our sponsors, without whom none of what we do would be possible.

To learn more about us, please explore our website, view the resources it has to offer, keep up with us on our
blog, and feel free to contact us with any questions.
Team 3161, Tronic Titans, make it our mission to dedicate our time to educate everyone and spread the values of FIRST throughout our community by way of strong participation and partnerships. We seek to inspire people of all ages to expand their knowledge and interest in the fields of science and technology.
